Washington, D.C. – Today, $84,997,036 in federal funding for major investments is coming to Georgia, which will support Georgia’s infrastructure, small businesses, housing, rural health care, and more.

Senator Warnock and his office worked closely with other Congressional offices, including Senator Ossoff, Georgia communities, business leaders, healthcare professionals, and nonprofits to for over a year to support their applications for this federal funding. Senator Warnock fought behind the scenes for months, making the case to both Democrats and Republicans to include these worthy Georgia projects in the annual appropriations bill.

Albany/Valdosta/South Georgia:

1. $1,500,000 for the Valdosta-Lowndes County Habitat for Humanity, Inc to develop a safe, affordable neighborhood for low- and moderate-income families.
2. $1,452,000 for the Hospital Authority of Ben Hill to renovate Dorminy Medical Center, a health facility in rural Georgia, including converting a former emergency department into a fully functioning general surgery and wound care clinic.
3. $1,129,036 for the City of Albany to support the construction of 25 new affordable residential properties including the installation of essential public utilities—water, sewer, gas, electricity, telecommunications, streets, sidewalks, and storm drainage. Funding secured with Rep. Bishop.
4. $1,000,000 for Fort Valley State University to establish a new Center for Agricultural Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Funding secured with Senator Ossoff.
5. $855,000 for America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia to build out a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen where staff and volunteers will prepare over 50,000 meals per-year for low-income children and seniors. 
6. $685,000 for the City of Moultrie to provide new water and sewer connections to an underused business park, supporting economic development. 
7. $424,000 for Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College for new nursing simulation equipment to improve rural nurse education.

Athens:

1. $1,900,000 for the University of Georgia to improve the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory to help control the spread of agricultural diseases.
2. $200,000 for the Athens Area Diaper Bank to expand diaper storage and distribution capacity to support Georgia’s new and growing families. Funding secured with Senator Ossoff.

Metro Atlanta and Surrounding Counties

1. $3,031,000 for the City of Sandy Spring to purchase the necessary technology, software, and equipment for a fully functioning Backup Emergency 911 Communications Center. Funding secured with Senator Ossoff and Reps. McBath and McCormick.
2. $2,500,000 for the Old Alabama Road Bridge Replacement Project to replace two aging bridges over Johns Creek originally built in 1956. Funding secured with Reps. McCormick.
3. $2,000,000 to support the construction of a new pedestrian and bicycle bridge over Interstate 20 (I-20), just east of the current Factory Shoals Bridge, connecting residential areas with employment centers
4. $2,000,000 for the Georgia Institute of Technology to help train students to work in the emerging energy storage and electric vehicle industry in Georgia.
5. $1,500,000 for the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation to renovate a 103-room hotel in Atlanta to provide permanent housing and supportive services for 95 veterans.
6. $1,500,000 to replace the 73-year-old Norcross Street Bridge and decrease truck congestion in Roswell, Georgia. The bridge currently requires large trucks to take an alternate route, increasing congestion in the community. Funding secured with Rep. McCormick.
7. $1,100,000 to support the construction of 36 new affordable apartment units for families experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity on Rainbow Village’s existing campus in Duluth, Georgia.
8. $1,092,000 for the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners to repair the Walton Court Booster Station to ensure safe and reliable drinking water service. Funding secured with Rep. Scott.
9. $1,092,000 for the City of Fairburn to construct new drinking water infrastructure to ensure safe and reliable drinking water service. Funding secured with Rep. McBath.
10. $1,000,000 for the Hall County School District to train students in agri-business (meat processing) and provide an affordable source of protein for school lunches.
11. $1,000,000 for the Atlanta Land Trust to support the construction of 50 permanently affordable homes for homeownership near the Atlanta Beltline. 
12. $1,000,000 for Spelman College to establish a Beauty Innovation Hub to support lab-based skills while fostering entrepreneurship and economic growth. The Hub will be tailored to facilitate small-batch formulations and testing of beauty products. Funding secured with Senator Ossoff.
13. $1,000,000 for the City of Arcade to construct its first public wastewater system and sewage treatment plant. Funding secured with Senator Ossoff.
14. $1,000,000 to improve vehicle and pedestrian safety on a portion of Old 41 Highway in Cobb County. Proposed improvements include widening and realigning Old 41 Highway, the addition of a raised median, the construction of roundabouts and the construction of a pedestrian tunnel under Stilesboro Road. Funding secured with Representative Loudermilk.
15. $850,000 for the City of Tucker to support the build out of a multi-use path connecting residential areas to economic opportunity, as part of the “Tucker Greenway Connector” project. Funding secured with Representative Johnson.
16. $400,000 for Madison Village for Advanced Entrepreneurship to expand its rural entrepreneurship program by increasing its program offerings of mentorship, business coaching, and technical assistance.
17. $250,000 for the City of Mableton to launch the City of Mableton Economic Development Project, an initiative focused on eliminating blight and promoting equitable redevelopment. Funding secured with Rep. McBath.
18. $250,000 for Grady Memorial Hospital to purchase a mobile unit to deliver highly effective new HIV treatment and prevention therapies more conveniently and effectively for patients.
19. $250,000 for Greater Wealth Works to expand their initiative to support micro and small businesses through revenue diversification coaching. Funding secured with Senator Ossoff.
20. $200,000 for the Greater Georgia Black Chamber of Commerce to create a Bridge Builder Mobile Tech Unit to provide business support to rural and limited-access communities. 
21. $92,000 for the City of Fayetteville to purchase, train, and implement advanced laser-based narcotics detection systems within the city, which will enhance the ability to detect illegal substances during calls for service, medical calls, and criminal investigations. Funding secured with Senator Ossoff. 

Augusta/Richmond:

1. $1,850,000 for the Augusta/CSRA Habitat for Humanity to construct 12 affordable homes on vacant or abandoned properties located in the Turpin Hill community. Funding secured with Senator Ossoff.
2. $557,000 for the City of Wrens for the construction of a new water well to ensure that the city’s residents continue to have a safe and reliable drinking water supply.
3. $450,000 for Paine College to implement the ‘STEM to Space’ initiative, a targeted effort to strengthen student engagement in STEM disciplines through academic innovation, workforce preparation, and alignment with NASA’s aerospace mission.
4. $325,000 for the Columbia County Board of Commissioners to establish a Family Violence Services and Support Unit to help identify, evaluate, investigate, and resolve family violence cases while ensuring that victims receive services and support.

Columbus/West Georgia:

1. $1,800,000 for Columbus Housing Initiative, Inc. to support the construction of a new affordable homeownership community in Newman’s Crossing. The funding will go towards nine homes for low- to moderate-income families.
2. $1,700,000 to revitalize the City of Americus’ central business district with pedestrian improvements and new greenspaces. The project will upgrade outdated infrastructure by installing ADA-compliant sidewalks, enhancing pedestrian lighting, and introducing green spaces. Funding secured with Congressman Bishop. 
3. $739,000 for Southwest Georgia Children’s Alliance, Inc to expand their early intervention program for family violence to improve coordinated care services and strengthen the justice system’s response to child abuse and family violence. Funding secured with Senator Ossoff and Representative Bishop.
4. $216,000 for the Columbus Fire & Emergency Medical Services Department to develop and launch a Mobile Integrated Healthcare program tailored specifically to military veterans residing in Muscogee County with in-home assessments, care coordination, and linkage to local resources. Funding secured with Senator Ossoff.
5. $10,000 for the Hamilton Hood Foundation, Inc. to support professional archaeological development at the historic Pierce Chapel African Cemetery in Harris County, Georgia to identify unmarked burial sites, preserve cultural materials, and provide data essential for long-term conservation and interpretation.

Macon/Middle Georgia:

1. $3,480,000 for Middle Georgia State University to fund the purchase of equipment, simulators, and fuel to support air traffic control, aviation maintenance, and pilot training education programs. Specifically, the funding will go towards an Air Traffic Control Simulator, Aviation Maintenance virtual maintenance trainer, new aircraft engines for student use, maintenance training equipment, and support the student pilot pathway fuel fund which offsets the cost of fuel for pilot trainees. Funding secured with Senator Ossoff.
2. $1,000,000 to construct a new community center and disaster relief shelter in Macon-Bibb County. Funding secure with Representative Bishop.
3. $570,000 for the Pulaski County Emergency Operations Center to modernize the radio system to ensure comprehensive access to emergency services for all residents, including installing new antennas at the central communications hub and eliminating eliminate dead zones and improve emergency response capabilities.
4. $450,000 for the City of Wrightsville to expand and modernize the existing emergency operations center by constructing a saferoom that will provide a safe and secure space with enough room for all emergency functions to convene and efficiently respond to the next storm.
5. $313,000 for the Georgia College and State University to establish a Bobcat Business Incubator to foster entrepreneurship, establish businesses, and create good-paying jobs locally.
6. $100,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Baldwin and Jones County to reopen a closed youth development facility by completing critical repairs, including replacing the lighting and bleachers, repairing the HVAC system, and upgrading technology.

North Georgia:

1. $2,000,000 for the City of Hiawassee to construct a new shoreline and wet well, securing the City’s water future and ensuring uninterrupted service during low water levels at Lake Chatuge. 
2. $1,500,000 for Atrium Health Floyd to expand the Chattooga County emergency department to provide additional health service in rural northwest Georgia. Funding Secured with Senator Ossoff.
3. $1,000,000 for the Ball Ground Truck Bypass to reduce poultry truck traffic in downtown Ball Ground by constructing a new partial multilane roundabout. Funding secured with Rep. McCormick.
4. $830,000 for Habitat for Humanity, North Central Georgia, to advance the construction of a new affordable townhome complex in the City of Holly Springs. This funding will go towards building 10 townhomes as part of the first phase of a 50-unit development in Cherokee County’s Holly Springs. Funding secured with Senator Ossoff.
5. $767,000 for the Easterseals North Georgia’s Clarkston Resource & Wellness Hub, which provides preventive care, mental health support, food assistance, housing resources, early education, home visiting, job training, and case management. Funding secured with Senator Ossoff.
6. $635,000 for public safety technology and vehicle upgrades in Murray County, including new K9 vehicles and in-car laptops Funding secured with Senator Ossoff and Representative Greene.
7. $556,000 for Dalton State College to expand the Roadrunner Para Pathway to Teaching to train paraprofessionals, creating a talent pipeline of educators from local schools to meet the increasing demand for teachers. Funding Secured with Senator Ossoff.
8. $500,000 for the University of North Georgia to improve campus safety with new locking technology. The funding will upgrade outdated manual lock-and-key door systems with new electronic remote locking technology to enable the ability to lockdown university facilities in the event of a campus-wide lockdown. 
9. $511,000 for Union General Hospital to purchase a new mammography system which would shorten exam times and improve patient care.
10. $64,000 for the Northeast Georgia Black Chamber of Commerce to offer business incubation services, entrepreneurial training, and business management support.

Savannah/Coastal Georgia:

1. $12,040,000 for the Georgia Ports Authority to expand the Savannah Harbor and maintain efficient operations at both the Savannah and Brunswick harbors. Funding Secured with Senator Ossoff and Representative Carter.
2. $5,000,000 for the City of Tybee Island to replace a 50 year old fire station and improve emergency response times. Funding secured with Representative Carter.
3. $4,200,000 for the Savannah-Georgia Convention Center Authority to renovate the community riverwalk, perform critical infrastructure improvements, and repair and fortify the landing. Funding secured with Representative Buddy Carter.
4. $1,500,000 for the City of Savannah to support the acquisition of 10 move-in ready housing units for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
5. $1,248,000 for the City of Savannah to rehabilitate a drinking water well to improve drinking water service and firefighting capacity. Funding secured with Senator Ossoff.
6. $1,232,000 for MicroLife Institute, Inc., to support the construction of a new workforce housing development in downtown Lyons, GA. The funding will go towards the construction of a 10-unit cottage court development in Lyons, GA.  
7. $1,120,000 for Chatham County to create an 83-unit affordable housing development and increase homeownership in Chatham County and Port Wentworth, GA. 
8. $1,100,000 for the Baxley and Appling County Hospital Authority to improve the rural hospital’s HVAC system to support better patient care and outcomes.
9. $1,064,000 for the Ogeechee Technical College to establish a certified regional healthcare simulation center. The funding will renovate existing facilities to increase space available to meet the certification standards for a Regional Healthcare Simulation Center.
10. $630,000 for Augusta University Savannah Campus to improve training of medical students by purchasing equipment to provide students living and training in Savannah more options to remain in their community for their training.
11. $295,000 for Hospice Savannah, Inc. to fund transportation for seniors enrolled in the PACE program. Funding secured with Senator Ossoff.
12. $36,000 for the McIntosh County Board of Commissioners to purchase and deploy a first responder mini ambulance to improve McIntosh County’s emergency response capabilities.
